Howdy! I am Sangita, the back yard gardener. I am from India but moved to Texas after I got married to my husband Srini. Molly, our pet dog is an ardent gardener too. She loves sniffing the herbs & eating some of the vegetables from the yard! I am still discovering plants that I can grow (& kill too). My husband built a patio cover last spring so the potted plants get a lot of shade in summer. I was hooked to a vegetable bed last year & then came indoor herbs & then the mood for vines, climbing plants & trellises. This year I am all into foliage color & texture. I planted Colleus & all kinds of spikey plants like Umbrella Fern, Purple Fountain Grass etc this year. Wonder what I'll feel like doing next?!! For me, my home is a place to experiment and my garden a place to dream. In this website I will be sharing my garden with you. I also have a bunch of some fun stuff that can be done for/from a garden like potpourri, recipes, tips, sayings, projects, gifts etc, collected from my yard, kitchen, friends, books & over the web. Our garden will continue to grow with seasons, so check back often. We hope you enjoy our garden & get inspired to do more & more things in your garden too! Please sign my guestbook & feel free to share this link with all your friends. One more thing. Some of the pages have pictures that may take some time to download depending on your internet speed. So please be patient. And if you ever get an error saying, "The page cannot be displayed ....blah ...blah ...blah",then please go back to the previous page by clicking the Back button on your browser & click on a link again. I don't know why this happens sometimes but I can assure you, all my pages work. Thank you & remember that a garden is never done!

My Ideal Garden Recipe:
Take 1 huge garden, 1 tbsp spring, 2 dozen trees, 1 hen, 1 rooster, 1 cow, 1 husband, 4 children, 2 dogs, 1 ounce of gentle brook, a little pond, 2 cups of live fish, 3 cans of wild flowers, 3 sprigs of grass, 3 cans of vegetable plants, a bunch of herbs, 2 tbsps birds, 2tsps butterflies & pebbles according to taste. First mix the garden & spring together & keep aside. Then mix the trees, hen, rooster, cow, husband, children & dogs together & put them in the spring garden. Next pour the brook over the pebbles, pour the pond along with the fish & sprinkle with wild flowers, grass & vegetable plants. Bake under the sun at 70-75 F until golden brown. Garnish with herbs, birds & butterflies. Cool & enjoy!
